Climate & Environmental Venture Fund

Structuring a High-Stakes LP Fundraising Deck

Context

This project involved designing a fundraising deck for a climate-focused venture fund raising institutional capital from LPs.

The material combined fund mechanics, portfolio construction strategy, sourcing differentiation, and impact reporting. Several slides contained proprietary sourcing frameworks and performance data, which have been anonymized for portfolio use.

The challenge was to present complex fund structure and strategic positioning with clarity and institutional credibility.

The Structural Approach

I developed a disciplined layout framework to create consistent hierarchy across the deck, ensuring that metrics, narrative positioning, and supporting detail were clearly separated.

This included establishing a standardized grid system, tightening typographic hierarchy for financial data and explanatory text, simplifying dense information into digestible visual formats, and refining slide structure so LPs could quickly identify what mattered.

The focus was not decoration but cognitive clarity.

The Outcome

The final presentation conveyed the fund’s strategy and structure with significantly improved readability and visual cohesion.

Complex sourcing and impact frameworks were presented with confidence and restraint. Financial metrics were easier to parse at a glance. The deck functioned not as a collection of slides, but as a cohesive institutional narrative aligned with the seriousness of capital being raised.
